Oceanfront Shoreline Rehabilitation

Project Description: ATM provided full-service planning, public outreach, engineering, design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration support on the rehabilitation of 10,000 linear feet of the northern portion of the Jekyll Island, Georgia, oceanfront shoreline. The project’s first phase included maintenance and repair of a revetment built in the 1960s and 1970s. Phase two included large-scale truck-haul terrace-beach fill from an upland sand source, dune restoration, native vegetation planting, dune crossovers, and geotextile tube installation.
