Project Description: Located in the Western Region of the UAE some 150 nautical miles west of Abu Dhabi, Sila Port is being developed to serve a growing commercial and fishing community. Abu Dhabi Ports awarded the construction of a new slipway and pontoon system to Septech, who appointed ATM as marine consultant for the project. ATM led the detailed design of the slipway and pontoon anchoring systems and, as Engineer of Record, obtained all required No Objection Certificates (NOCs) allowing construction to commence. ATM’s role included slipway design, pile design, preparation of a geotechnical interpretative report, and Engineer of Record services covering all required regulatory NOCs.
