Mike Jenkins, PhD, PE, (Florida) will present “Everything You Never Knew about Hurricanes” at the EcoWatch Lecture Series: On the Cutting Edge of Conservation at the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center in Boca Raton, Florida, at 6:30 p.m. EST on January 24, 2024. The Boca Raton Cultural Consortium hosts the lecture series.

Mike is a Senior Principal Coastal Engineer with ATM, a Geosyntec Company, and has more than 30 years of experience focused on coastal projects. He is a recognized expert in coastal engineering and has an extensive background in modeling dynamic coastal systems. He has significant experience in the development of environmental assessments and environmental impact assessments.

The EcoWatch Lecture Series spotlights conservation experts in their fields as they share their work, research, and experiences, with the common goal to secure a more sustainable future. Lectures are followed by an after-hours tour of the nature center’s lighted aquariums.

The Boca Raton Cultural Consortium’s mission is to raise the public’s awareness of the quality, diversity and impact of arts and cultural programs on the community. The fifteen not-for-profit member organizations provide a wide array of programming for all ages.
