ATM currently has several waterfront projects under construction including the redevelopment of a municipal seaplane base and marina located on Lake Dora in Tavares, FL. The only floating dockage of its kind along the eastern U.S. seaboard specifically dedicated to seaplanes (seaplanes require different design considerations than boats), ATM performed waterfront facility planning, wind/wave/surge estimates, prepared dock plans and specifications, and is conducting construction administration and engineering review. The final dockage design accounted for overhead and tail clearance restrictions and additional room for steering and maneuvering. The floats are manufactured in Kentucky; the frames are manufactured in Spain. The project includes in-water fueling for seaplanes, a new seaplane ramp, a protected interior docking area, and a separate dock with over 150 slips for boats and the Dora Queen dinner cruise vessel.
