Steve Peene, Ph.D. (Florida) presented at The Water Research Foundation’s (WRF) Research Planning Summit, on April 11-29, 2022.
Steve is a Senior Principal based in Florida with more than 32 years of experience focused on the water resources practice.
The WRF Research Planning Summit catalyzed discussions, sparked imagination, and served as a starting point for participants to brainstorm research needs and ideas and project concepts. These conversations took place during breakout groups that were dedicated to exploring 16 high priority subtopics and five overarching research themes of efficient resource use and recovery, treatment optimization and intensification, resilient infrastructure, utility operations and management, and healthy communities and environment.
The WRF is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) research foundation whose goal is to fund applied research important to water utilities. They are the world’s leading one water research and innovation organization operating on six continents. The Foundation represents approximately 1,200 subscribers, hosts an online research library of more than 2,300 projects valued at $700 million, manages an innovation platform with a database of more than 140 innovative technologies, and so much more.
